In a hot take sure to endear him to fans of The Mandalorian, Imagination Connoisseur Guy Lloyd Broyles, III, asks what’s wrong with “The Child” (a.k.a. Baby Yoda) and why, after fifty years, the kid still doesn’t know the difference between red and blue.

Hello Sir,

First and most importantly, I hope you and yours are well.

So, on The Mandalorian, “The Child” is 50 years old and is still an infant. Am I the only one who has noticed that doesn’t make sense? I understand that they physically age slower, but being 50 and still an infant doesn’t add up. If the species live to be, say 900, as Yoda did, he wouldn’t even be full grown until half his life was over?

Something else, the fact that it ages physically slower is fine, but it should learn at a normal rate. It’s 50 and has the mind of an infant, that makes zero sense. If they learn as slow as they age, them living so long wouldn’t mean anything as far as how wise they would become.

He’s 50 and doesn’t know red from blue. For some reason that just bothers me.

Your thoughts?

A fan & a friend,
GB3
