“He’s Starfreak Command’s elder statesman, Captain James T Smirk back in action after an eighty-year retirement with his old crew, “the galaxy’s original well-balanced, multi-ethnic, equal opportunity team.” How do they stay alive? It’s all thanks to Mr. Smock’s discovery of that life-giving substance – yogurt!”

Yes that’s right a Star Trek parody, one called Star Wreck by writer Leah Rewolinski.

Well, the 1st book in the series is in fact called Star Wreck: The Generation Gap published in 1990. Action takes place on board the USS Endocrine.

A sequel was soon to follow in 1992 Star Wreck 2: The Attack of the Jargonites. In the same year came Star Wreck 3: Time Warped: Then, Now & Ever. In 1993 Star Wreck 4: Live, Long & Profit and Star Wreck 5: The Undiscovered Nursing Home.

Star Wreck has been produced as both books and videos

In 1994 Star Wreck 6: Geek Space Nine is the first to have the new USS Endocrine, based on the Enterprise D and is under the Command of Jean-Lucy Ricardo followed by Star Wreck 7: Space the Fido Frontier.

Also in 1994 there was the first of a series of Finnish movie adaptations of the books.

Anyone interested… Not easy to find but books can be found on Amazon and eBay and may even find a copy of the DVD. I have seen the first and… stick to the books to was not well made.
