Continuing his on-going discussion about “all-things AXANAR” (from Robservations #109), writer-producer-director, Robert Meyer Burnett delves into some of the accusations made about him by AXANAR producer, Alec Peters, and answers questions from online fans curious to know more about this troubled fan film production.
Among the stories shared by Rob is the revelation that at least one of the actors committed to the AXANAR feature was concerned about the ability of Alec Peters to play the part of Garth of Izar, the hero of the film. Gary Graham, a veteran actor who portrayed Vulcan Ambassador Soval on STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE and had reprised his role in PRELUDE TO AXANAR wrote to Rob about his concerns.
Rob provides some insights into how he addressed this issue and the concerns he shared with Gary Graham on the subject. To underscore his point, Rob has provided this footage of Alec’s performance at Richard Hatch’s acting class. Alec plays the role of Col. Nathan Jessup from Adam Sorkin’s “A FEW GOOD MEN” – a role made famous by Jack Nicholson in 1992.
This clip is from October of 2015.
Best known for FREE ENTERPRISE, starring Emmy winners William Shatner and Eric McCormack, Rob Burnett offers his own unique perspective on the entertainment industry in his daily “Robservations” video blogs.
